While all blood types are needed, our regional supply is especially in need of O-POSITIVE, O-NEGATIVE and A-POSITIVE donations, as well as platelet donations, at this time. Your Donation. Your Blood Center. Your Community.

Donation Types

It is the responsibility of the Miller-Keystone to ensure that safe and adequate supplies of blood components are available for patients in the hospitals we serve. In addition to Allogeneic Donations (whole blood) and Automated Collections (for a specific blood component, such as red cells, platelets or plasma), a number of special services are available:

Autologous Blood Donation Directed (or Designated) Blood Donation
When a patient donates his or her own blood for upcoming elective surgery. When a patient chooses his or her donors for upcoming elective surgery.
Hemochromatosis Donations Patient/Donor Screening
When patients diagnosed with hemochromatosis require the volume of his or her red blood cells to be reduced. Antibodyscreening of patients, as well as ABO/Rh blood typing and CMV screening of directed donors for patient compatibility.
