Earn Your Blood Buddy Patch

Criteria

  • Troop will view "My Blood Your Blood" video, which explains the importance of blood donation
  • Troop will tour the Blood Center, or have a guest speaker on the importance of blood donation
  • Troop will sponsor a blood drive, according to the MKBC "Planning a Successful Blood Drive" brochure
  • Troop will recruit a minimum of 30 blood donors, netting a minimum number of 23 successful units of blood
  • Troop will perform one or more of the optional enhancements to a blood drive
    • Greeters
    • Childcare
    • Refreshments for donors/staff
    • Donor raffle
    • Wear MKBC mascot "Buddy the Blood Drop" costume at the scheduled blood drive (optional)
  • Troop will design, with the assistance of the Blood Center, their own special donor "thank you" letters
