Are you a Weekend Warrior? You can save more lives by donating Platelets on weekends! Hospitals tend to schedule surgeries or treatments requiring Platelets on Mondays and Tuesdays.  Since Platelets only have a shelf life of seven (7)days, Platelets that are donated on Saturdays and Sundays are used early in the week.
