Miller-Keystone Blood Center will be implementing our new Blood Center-wide,
state-of-the-art BECS– Blood Establishment Computer System
on the weekend of Friday, Aug 23 – Sunday Aug 25!
- The safety of the community blood supply is one of MKBC’s top priorities, and we are committed to investing in technology to improve the blood donation process for our blood donors, hospital partners and staff. This new computer system will provide us with the most up-to-date technology in tracing and tracking blood from the donor to the patient.
- A primary benefit of the new computer system for our donors is that our iScreen technology will now allow donors to complete their medical screening questionnaire from their Smartphones, which until now they have been unable to do.
- The Post Phlebotomy handout our donors receive has been redesigned and will now immediately provide the donor with their weight, height, HCT, blood pressure, arm inspection, pulse, pulse rhythm and temperature.
- We appreciate your patience as this new system is implemented, and thank you for your commitment to saving lives!
