Hospital Central Services Annual Report
Frigid temperatures recently caused a pipe to burst at MKBC’s Bethlehem Donor Center (1465 Valley Center Parkway) causing extensive flooding. As a result, the Blood Center was forced to temporarily shut down blood collections at our Bethlehem Donor Center.
Officials at Miller-Keystone Blood Center have announced the establishment of its “Hope for a Match” Rare Donor Program. This program is designed to help ensure that the right blood type is available at the right time for transfusion patients identified as having rare blood types.
Give the best gift of the season this year – the gift of life! Miller-Keystone Blood Center is encouraging everyone to share the joy of giving on #GivingTuesday. MKBC relies on the community for monetary support, but for those unable to provide a monetary gift, we are encouraging the gift of life. Donating blood, platelets or plasma is safe and easy, and will only require approximately one hour of someone’s time. But for the transfusion recipient, that gift can mean everything.
