The Blood Drive will take place at Miller-Keystone’s Bethlehem Donor Center, located at 1465 Valley Center Parkway, from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. The RCN-sponsored Blood Drive event includes hourly raffle drawings for prizes from “The Walking Dead” TV show, concert tickets to the Great Allentown Fair, and more.

The second-annual event will take place at Miller-Keystone’s Bethlehem Donor Center (1465 Valley Center Parkway) and Reading Donor Center (2745A Leiscz’s Bridge Road) from 5:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8 till 5:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 9.
Miller-Keystone Blood Center has announced that beginning July 1, 2015, they will be launching the Lifesaver Rewards Program. This program will reward donors by assigning points for each donation, type of donation, and frequency of donation. Point can then be redeemed at the LifeSaver Rewards Store.

Officials at Miller-Keystone Blood Center have announced that the second annual “Boots, Badges & Bandages” Heroes Blood Drive competition between firefighters, law enforcement and emergency medical service personnel will kick-off on Memorial Day, May 25, and run through Labor Day, September 7.

Miller-Keystone Blood Center (MKBC) is pleased to announce the launch of iScreen, a secure, private way for donors to complete their donor history questionnaire. Starting on Tuesday, January 6, iScreen will be used by donors to answer these questions in a private setting at a blood drive or donation center or online on the day of donation, prior to their arrival.
Miller-Keystone Blood Center and iHeart Media are hosting a 12-hour blood drive on Friday, December 12. The blood drive, held at the iHeart Media studio, 1541 Alta Drive, Whitehall, will take place from 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Miller-Keystone Blood Center’s Development Department has announced the start of its 2014-15 Annual Appeal. Funds generated through the Annual Appeal campaign will be used to underwrite several items critically needed by MKBC to support our community’s only blood program.
This November, Miller-Keystone Blood Center is encouraging individuals to donate Pints of Hope in support of Premature Birth Awareness. “Approximately 500,000 premature infants are born each year in the United States,” says Marie Clemens, Corporate Director of Communications. “Volunteer blood donors save lives because they are helping replace red cells, platelets and plasma that are often transfused in both premature infants and their mothers.”
In recognition of Veterans Day (Nov. 11), Miller-Keystone Blood Center is sponsoring a Social Media Photo Contest ( #MKBCMyVeteran ) from Nov. 3-Nov. 13. According to Sean Tinney, Director of Marketing, this campaign is designed to increase awareness and demonstrate appreciation for our Veterans and local heroes at home and overseas.

Miller-Keystone Blood Center (MKBC), the exclusive blood provider to 26 hospitals in Eastern Pennsylvania and Western New Jersey, has announced they will be partnering with QualTex Laboratories, San Antonio, Texas. As part of the partnership, MKBC will send samples of the blood collected from volunteer blood donors to QualTex Laboratories for infectious disease testing beginning on September 8, 2014.

On Wednesday, June 4, two memorial blood drives will be held in honor of Wayne Leibensperger Jr. of Salisbury Township (PA). Leibensperger, 21, died in a fatal accident on Route 22 in Lehigh County in March 2014. Wayne’s selflessness saved many lives and earned the gratitude of the patients he saved and their families; he was a true hero.
